1. The conflict of nature
-- Run.
Howl.
-- Jump.
Bark.
---It's freedom.
 Then change.
*Remember!*
 Walk on two legs,
Not four.
Cooked meat,
Not raw.
--Act human
Look human
 ----Not human,
Wolf
*Momentary falter*
--Ancient species
Undetected.
 --Unsuspected.
-- Not human
Nor wolf
-------But both

2. Werewolves

Moon, powder white and full,
soaring high in the sky,
glowing in the painted canvas of ebony,
gazing down at us all...
basking us in its soothing balm of beams...
we are losing our human side,
letting our very beings go...

Our kind is awakened,
wrecked from within,
a beast is now alive...
we can not even control this change that consumes.

A monster revealed,
taking the form of beast,
we run through the abyss of night,
stars feverishly bright,
our human side so faint...

The smells of the wild
are inhaled,
perfuming our noses,
a killer we become,
lusting for a drop of blood
and taste of mortal's meat.

Coming across a little child,
her skin and liquid melt in my mouth...
I can't control myself any more...
the teeth ripping through, deafening her horrid cries
that echo and echo emptily.

Now limp in my mouth,
I escape and splash into a river,
allowing the crimson to seep from my mouth,
my reflection mirrors back...

And as the ribbons of frost cascade down
to kiss my pelts,
glittering the inky water,
I look heavenward,
and realize how truly cursed we are.

3. Moonlight Change

The moon came out of the trees.
My bones started to change,
mold,
grow,
bend,
and break.
Changing into a shape I didn’t know.
All I knew was that I was changing,
but into what?
I was scared to know.
I ran at full speed,
from the horror.
To a small lake in the woods,
And looked upon the monster I became.
A wolf!

4. More Like A Nightmare

The clock strikes twelve and what do you see.
A human changing forms behind a tree.
Curious you are, you go to check it out.
You see the horror and start to scream and shout.
The face is morphing, the legs getting longer.
The arms are bulging and starting to get stronger.
You look up to the sky to see a full moon.
The transformation will be done soon.
You need to get away as fast as you can.
This thing that you see is no longer a man.
The werewolf jumps out in one long stride.
You start looking and looking for a place to hide.
He stares at the sky and begins his howling.
Then looks right at you, sneering and scowling.
With one last jump, you start to scream,
and then wake up from this horrible dream.

5. No Title

Stumbling and falling to get away.
Flesh and bones, ripping, stretching, apart.
Growing, growing, in such a way.
He then takes, a needed dart.

Running, panting, not thinking to stop.
Twisting, turning, with no light to guide.
Distant howling, screaming, in the backdrop.
The feeling of no gained, self needed pride.

Moon now casting it's full light.
Howling and whining all around.
There's no need to try and fight.
Others closing on his ground.

Brothers and sisters are now near.
Another reign of howling, has now, come.
He will no longer, live, with this fear.
He has found, happily, a family, a new home.

6. My Other

My feet no longer my feet,
my hands no longer my hands,
the hunger that fills me is not mine,
not truly.
Something other possesses me,
pulls away my skin,
blood flowing as hair thickens into fur,
and suddenly the night sings to me.
My body stretches and twists, bones changing shape
in a nightmare of endless pain.
finally the pain recedes and shriek becomes howl;
urgent and forelorn.
The hunt fills my soul and I begin to move,
flowing through the shadows and trees,
following a brief scent on the air.
I do not know what the wolf has found,
and deep inside the me that is caged in this animal,
I am consumed by terror that what I hunt
will be you.

Written by [Ambivalence]

7) Howling Inside.

Inside my shell I’m howling,
Singing,
Screaming,
At a milky blue moon.
Casting shadows upon me,
Around me,
Comforting and real,
I feel,
Myself growing and turning,
Yearning to break free from,
Harsh realities and formalities,
Chained around me.
Inside my coat is wiry and fur,
And I will learn,
Yet, to control the beast with in.
Oh the lust,
The cravings to become,
One with the moon.
Oh - That milky blue moon,
Shinning blue down on me,
Teaching me,
And showing me,
How life could be,
If only I could see,
What a werewolf I would become,
If my human suit became undone.

2008-11-17 [Alexi Ice]: Comments, praise, concerns??? This is one of the best poems I have ever written, I think! Attacked me in the middle of the night (lol) I would love some feedback! ^^

2008-11-19 [Alexi Ice]: Thank you thank you! and it did I swear! Kept buzzing around in my brain until I woke up and wrote it down ^^

2008-11-19 [Thunder Cid]: I told you I'll be your biggest rival.

2008-11-19 [Alexi Ice]: 'I can't control myself no more...'
I can control myself no more. Still wrong, but better. It should really be 'I can no longer control myself' or 'I can't control myself any longer.

'and realize how truly curse we are.'
Cursed, dear.

Other than that great job! You were right about the big words, I loved it ^^ Very sensory detailed, very nice.

2008-11-19 [Linderel]: Losing, not loosing.
The repeated use of ellipsis is a tad distracting. Jarring, even.
I love the last stanza. Though I'm quite sure you can't say 'upon heavenward' - just doesn't sound right.

2008-11-19 [Thunder Cid]: X) I can fix those.

2008-11-19 [Linderel]: :)

I'll start working in earnest on my own submissions for both this and the Elf session the coming weekend...

2008-11-19 [Thunder Cid]: Have fun. I'm working on my unicorn submission now.

2008-11-19 [Linderel]: I've a unicorn poem from 2003, I think... no way I'm submitting that one xD

2008-11-19 [Thunder Cid]: I think unicorns are so hard to write about. I keep having blanks here and there X(

Why won't you submit it?

2008-11-19 [Linderel]: Dude, I wrote it in 2003. That's five years of development in skills between then and now. Besides, it's had its limelight. 'Twas my sixth featured poem.

2008-11-19 [Thunder Cid]: Dude...okay XD

2008-11-19 [Linderel]: :P

2008-11-19 [Alexi Ice]: I think Elfs are more complicated than unicorns, honestly. What do you think of mine [Linderel]?

2008-11-23 [Alexi Ice]: Sorry, I like to delete my random comments after they have been spoken, I think it is part of my OCD. lol.

2008-11-28 [Alexi Ice]: I edited a bit of yours for you, Wolfie. ^^ Just a few spelling mistakes.

2008-11-28 [Linderel]: It's break, not brake.

2008-11-28 [LinkTurrner]: thanks.. wolf girl

and nice poem, yours is cool too cid

2008-11-28 [Alexi Ice]: No problem, and thank you. ^^

2008-11-30 [FamousPanda]: wooo i love inspiration! =D oh and i numbered number 3 just soz you guys know. =] i thought it looked left out with no number beside it
